Educational and professional training program
Curriculum

Educational degree: Bachelor.
Qualification awarded: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

    Examples of bachelor's degree diploma and application:
     

    Access requirements(s): On the basis of complete high general education with study duration of 11 or 12 years, or on the basis of education and qualification degree of junior specialist.
    Special provisions for recognition of prior learning (formal, non-formal, informal): none

    Programme requirements
    The student is to complete a training program according to the curriculum, including:
    - theoretical and practical training of the standard part (humanitarian and socio-economic training courses, mathematical and natural sciences training courses, and professional and practical training courses) and the selective part (professionally oriented disciplines, and training courses selected by the student);
    -final state certification goes through the attestation  examination and the state examination on the complex test.

    Credits are assigned to the student when he/she successfully (see Grading scheme in 4.4) passes written (or oral) tests and examinations in subjects, defends course papers, reports results of his/her practical training, passes final examinations.

    Knowledge and understanding:
    - conceptual knowledge acquired during the training process and professional activity, including certain knowledge of up-to-date achievements;
    - critical understanding of basic theories, principles, methods and notions in the study and professional activity.

    Application of knowledge and understanding (Applying knowledge and understanding):
    -ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in a certain branch of professional activity or during the training process, which involves the use of particular theories and methods of corresponding science and is characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions; solving complex and unforeseen tasks and problems in specialized fields of professional activity and/or study, which involves collecting and interpreting information (data), choice of methods and tools, use of innovative approaches; informing specialists and non-specialists of data, ideas, problems, solutions and personal experience in the area of professional activity; ability to efficiently form communication strategy.

    Making judgments:
    -  management of complex actions or projects, responsibility for taking decisions under unpredictable conditions;
    - responsibility for professional development of individuals and/or groups of people;
     - ability to further study with a high degree of autonomy.

    Educational component of the program is being realized in the course of 8 semesters, 240 credits, and contains the courses in the corresponding cycles, providing: general training, language competence, acquiring knowledge in the chosen speciality, courses of student’s free choice.

    The person is entitled to acquire the educational degree of a Master.

    Professional status
    According to the State professions classifier of Ukraine (DK 003:2010) the person is entitled to occupy the following positions: tester, technician-tester, technician-technologist, technician-developer, inspector foreman, processing engineer, engineer-inspector, inspector, mechanic, division mechanic, mechanical engineer.

    Full-time and part-time.
