Certification (nostrification) of higher education diplomas in Poland

    Recognition of a foreign diploma entitles you to continue education and professional activity in Poland and is carried out individually. In order to be recognized in Poland, you must apply to Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego. For recognition of the diploma, the following documents must be provided:
- an application for recognition of a diploma of higher education;
- the original diploma and its supplement received in Ukraine;
- a certified copy of the original diploma and the application;
- translation of the Polish original diploma and application.
    Based on the results of the examination and comparative analysis of the curriculum, a decision is made to recognize a diploma of higher education. If your program is different from the Polish standard, you will be asked to continue training or undergo a nostrification procedure.

    Nostrification is carried out by scientific councils of Polish universities accredited by the state. The profile of the diploma requiring confirmation and the profile of the university must match. In case the diploma specialization does not fit within the same department, the rector, according to the applicant, can form a council of specialists in different directions.
    The following documents must be attached to the nostrification application:
- certificate of the need for confirmation of diploma (provides by inisterstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego);
- the original and a copy of the diploma and its annex;
- translation into Polish of the original diploma and its annex;
- a copy of the certificate / certificate of secondary education;
- translation of Polish certificate / certificate of secondary education;
- a biography of the applicant in Polish;
- statement-declaration that the diploma has not been nostrified before in Polish universities.
    The documents are submitted to the rectorate of the selected university or to Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego.
    At the appointed time, the applicant is interviewed in Polish, as a result of which members of the board of higher education must confirm the level of knowledge stated in the diploma.
